- Full-time, permanent position.
- Rotating roster including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Market-competitive salary plus superannuation.
Benefits Salary: AUD $75,000 – $80,000 per annum plus superannuation (commensurate with skills and experience). Task & responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and cook a variety of authentic Italian dishes including pizzas, pasta, seafood, meat and daily specials.
- Develop and update menus in consultation with management, incorporating seasonal produce and customer preferences.
- Prepare and cook food to consistently high quality and presentation standards.
- Monitor food preparation, portion control and minimise wastage.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff where required.
- Manage stock levels, order food supplies and inspect deliveries for quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen work areas and equipment.
- Assist in menu costing and maintaining food cost targets.
Qualification & experience Essential Requirements
- AQF Certificate IV or higher qualification in Commercial Cookery (or overseas equivalent)
- At least three years of relevant full-time Chef experience.
- Demonstrated experience preparing Italian cuisine in a commercial kitchen.
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
