The successful candidates will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of modern pub-style meals including pizzas, burgers, schnitzels, pasta, seafood dishes, salads, share plates and seasonal menu items while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Prepare and cook a range of menu items including pizzas, burgers, schnitzels, starters, salads, seafood dishes, desserts and seasonal specials in line with venue recipes and standards.
- Prepare ingredients including cutting, portioning, marinating, seasoning and organising food items for service.
- Cook meals using grilling, frying, baking and other commercial cooking methods while ensuring quality, consistency and presentation.
- Prepare pizza toppings, burger fillings, schnitzels, share plates, salads and other modern pub-style meals.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation before service.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and temperature control procedures in accordance with regulations.
- Manage stock levels, assist with ordering supplies and minimise food wastage through effective preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas,



equipment and food storage areas.
- Work with kitchen staff to deliver efficient lunch, dinner and function services.
- Assist with menu preparation, seasonal specials and continuous improvement of food preparation processes.

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

- At least Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification (preferred).
- Minimum three (3) years' experience in a similar Cook role preferred (or equivalent commercial kitchen experience).
- Experience with pizza preparation, grill, fryer and short-order cooking.
- Knowledge of stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Understanding of food safety requirements and safe food handling practices.
- Experience preparing modern Australian/pub-style meals is highly desirable.

Skills and Experience Required

- Ability to prepare and cook a variety of dishes independently.
- Robust knowledge of kitchen procedures and cooking methods.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain consistent food quality and presentation standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to hygiene standards.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Availability to work across lunch, dinner, weekends and busy service periods.

Licences & Certifications:

- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or food safety training is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of HACCP, food hygiene and safe food handling practices.
