Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of the country's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel, and road base from a number of locations across Australia.
We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Wollert Quarry in VIC, 45 mins north of Melbourne CBD.
This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.
In your recent role with us, you will:
- Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment
- Operate a heavy vehicle (excavator/front end loader/dump truck). If no ticket, Heidelberg Materials Australia will provide training and certification to get ticket for the right candidate
- Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shovelling
This role is a great fit for you if you have:
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Total commitment to risk management and OH&S;
- A positive work ethic and ability to work within Heidelberg Materials values and philosophies
- Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump truck ticket is advantageous
- Experience in either Quarrying or Mining
- The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
