Position Title: Adventure Operations Assistant

Position Overview

The Adventure Operations Assistant plays a vital role in the smooth day-to-day operation of our adventure tourism business. This hands-on position supports adventure equipment preparation and maintenance, tour logistics, customer service, and operational tasks across the business. There is opportunity for mountain bike, and paddle guide work within this role for the right candidate. The role requires a proactive, reliable individual who enjoys working outdoors, has a strong focus on safety, and thrives in a dynamic team workplace.

Key Responsibilities

- Clean, inspect, maintain, and safely store rafts, canoes, mountain bikes, personal flotation devices (PFDs), and other adventure equipment.

- Prepare and deliver equipment for customer hire, guided tours, and off-site locations.

- Assist with the setup and pack-down of tours and adventure activities.

- Safely transport passengers to and from tour locations using company vehicles.

- Work collaboratively with the Café and Trails Shop teams to ensure seamless customer experiences across all business operations.

- Assist customers at the tour booking desk and Trails Shop during busy periods, including processing bookings, providing visitor information, and retail sales.

- Support daily opening and closing procedures across all business operations, ensuring facilities are clean, organised, and ready for trade.

- Conduct basic routine maintenance checks on company vehicles and trailers, including checking oil, coolant, tyre pressures, lights, and reporting maintenance requirements.

- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness, presentation, and safety across all equipment, vehicles, and work areas.





- Follow company policies, operational procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.

- Provide outstanding customer service and contribute to creating memorable visitor experiences.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Must have experience mountain biking (beginner ok) or be interested in mountain bikes.

- Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence.

- Good level of physical fitness and ability to undertake manual handling tasks.

- Knowledge of mountain biking and/or paddling

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and peak tourism periods.

- Commitment to safe work practices.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

- Experience in adventure tourism, outdoor recreation, or equipment hire.

- Light Rigid (LR) or Medium Rigid (MR) driver's licence (or willingness to obtain).

- First Aid and CPR certification.

- Experience towing trailers.

- Knowledge of bicycle maintenance, paddlecraft, or outdoor equipment servicing.

- Local knowledge of Dwellingup and surrounding trail networks.

- Paddle and mountain bike instructor or guide experience
