Recruitment Links Australia Sri Siddeshwara Foods Pty Ltd trading as Capanno Trattoria Bar & Grill is seeking an experienced and skilled Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. Reporting to the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes in line with our recipes and standards. Benefits Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 perAnnum + Superannuation.
Task & responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with the restaurant's recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Assist in the preparation of ingredients and other kitchen tasks as needed. Collaborate with the culinary team to create new menu items and specials.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate with the kitchen manager regarding supply needs. Adhere to portion control and presentation specifications set by the restaurant. Assist with receiving deliveries and proper storage of products.
To comply with the health and safety regulations to maintain a protected and secure environment. Qualification & experience Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cook is required. Ideally, you’ll have a formal qualification in Hospitality, Commercial Cookery, or similar or demonstrated competence as cook.
Knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques are essential as ours is an Italian Restaurant, Experience in commercial kitchen and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handling pressure is essential. Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to follow instructions and take direction from senior kitchen staff. Familiarity with sanitation regulations and food safety standards.
