About the role

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cleaner & Cleaning Team Leader to join our growing team at Optimus Cleaning and Gardening Services in Perth WA 6000. This is a full-time position that combines hands-on cleaning work with supervisory responsibilities. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of service delivery whilst supporting and mentoring other cleaning staff. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring both client satisfaction and team cohesion across our cleaning contracts.

Key responsibilities

- Perform high-quality domestic and commercial cleaning services to client specifications, maintaining consistent standards across all properties

- Lead and supervise a team of cleaners, providing guidance, training and support to ensure quality outcomes

- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with company standards

- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their requirements and address any concerns or special requests

- Manage daily schedules and coordinate team assignments to optimise efficiency and service delivery

- Maintain accurate records of completed work, client feedback and any issues requiring management attention

- Ensure all health and safety protocols and cleaning procedures are followed at all times

- Report directly to management on team performance, client feedback and any operational challenges





- Assist in training current team members on cleaning techniques, client expectations and company policies

- Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any maintenance or replacement needs

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in domestic cleaning services, with at least 3-5 years working in the cleaning industry

- Demonstrated team leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to motivate and manage others effectively

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and staff

- Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and willingness to take on responsibility

- Physical fitness and capability to perform demanding cleaning tasks consistently

- Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques and health and safety regulations relevant to domestic cleaning

- Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team

- Current driving licence and access to reliable transport

- Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain one if required

- Preferred: Previous experience in a team leader or supervisor role within the cleaning industry
