Payroll Officer
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team based in Ryde. This is a permanent, full time position offering the opportunity to work within a supportive and process-driven finance function. This role is fully office based with free parking available onsite.

About the Role
As Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of end-to-end payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. Key responsibilities include:

- End-to-end processing of weekly/fortnightly/monthly payroll
- Maintaining accurate employee payroll records and data
- Processing current starters, terminations, and variations to pay
- Calculating and processing leave entitlements, including annual, personal, and long service leave
- Reconciling payroll data and resolving discrepancies
- Responding to payroll-related queries from employees and management
- Ensuring compliance with relevant Awards,



Enterprise Agreements, and legislation
- Preparing payroll reports for management and finance teams
- Processing superannuation, PAYG, and other statutory payments
- Assisting with month-end and year-end payroll processes, including STP submissions

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Previous experience in a payroll processing role
- Sound knowledge of payroll legislation, Awards, and compliance requirements
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with payroll systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and work autonomously
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
