About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our organisation on a full-time basis reporting to the CFO. This is a pivotal position within our finance function, where you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business. As Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making through comprehensive financial analysis. This role holds significant importance in safeguarding the business' financial health and supporting the broader objectives of our organisation.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and oversee all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirementsPrepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements on a regular basis

- Supervise the accounts team and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable functions

- Maintain and monitor the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely

- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and audit procedures to protect club assets and ensure financial accuracy

- Reconcile bank accounts and manage cash flow to optimise liquidity and financial planning

- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts,



providing financial analysis and recommendations to senior management

- Liaise with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audit requirements

- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements within financial operations

- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, club policies and governance requirements

What we're looking for

- Tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline, or equivalent professional accounting qualifications (CPA or CA)

- 5+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting

- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts and financial analysis

- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders

- High level of integrity, discretion and commitment to maintaining confidentiality

- Experience with Employment Hero payroll and/or Microsoft Business Central will be highly regarded
