About the role

Aussie Cheap Cars Pty Ltd is seeking a energetic and versatile Used Car Dealership All-Rounder / Yard Hand to join our team across our Windsor and St Marys locations in NSW.

This is a full-time role that plays a vital part in the daily operations of our dealership. You will be responsible for maintaining the vehicle yard, preparing vehicles for sale, assisting customers, and supporting the wider dealership team to ensure everything runs smoothly.

The successful applicant will be reliable, well-presented, and able to work across multiple areas of the business. This is an important position that helps deliver a great customer experience from the moment clients arrive at our yard.

Key responsibilities

1. Maintaining and cleaning the dealership yard, including sweeping, cleaning and general housekeeping

2. Preparing vehicles for sale by washing, detailing and conducting basic cosmetic work

3. Moving and positioning vehicles within the yard as required

4. Assisting with vehicle deliveries and collections

5. Supporting the sales team by providing customer assistance and answering general enquiries

6. Performing basic mechanical checks and identifying any issues that require specialist attention

7. Maintaining inventory records and vehicle documentation

8. Ensuring the dealership premises remain safe, secure and compliant with health and safety regulations

9. Assisting with administrative tasks as required

10. Operating yard equipment and tools safely and responsibly

What we're looking for

1. Previous experience in an automotive dealership, vehicle yard or similar automotive environment is an advantage, but not essential. Full training will be provided to the right candidate with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Strong practical skills with the ability to perform basic vehicle preparation and detailing

3. A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record

4. Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions

5. Excellent communication and customer service skills

6. Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards

7. Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic

8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team

9. Basic computer skills and familiarity with automotive systems (desirable)

10. A commitment to health and safety practices
