About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Apsley Riverview Residential Aged Care Facility, you will be responsible for providing high quality nursing care to our aged care residents, participating in resident assessments and planning medical interventions, coordinating healthcare activities, and ensuring the overall comfort and wellbeing of our residents.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive resident assessments to determine patient health status
- Develop and implement nursing care plans based on resident needs
- Administer medications, perform medical interventions and make referrals as necessary
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals, family members, Facility Manager and residents concerning resident care and treatment
- Maintain accurate, detailed reports on medical histories, treatment and responses to care
- Advocate for the health needs of residents and promote overall wellbeing
- Provide emotional support and education to residents and families about conditions and treatment plans
- Monitor and ensure the quality of healthcare practices and ensure compliance with healthcare laws, regulations and standards
What You’ll Bring
- Current and valid AHPRA registration
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting
- Strong knowledge of general nursing principles and procedures
- Proficiency in using healthcare software,
including Microsoft Suite
- Absence of any Banning Orders or Criminal Convictions
- NDIS Check
- Ability to work 24/7 shifts on a fortnightly roster
What We Offer
The hours for this position will vary depending on your preference of either Part-Time or Casual. The renumeration for this role starts at $41.2760 per hour + superannuation and relevant penalties, increasing depending on length of service, based on the Nurses' (Local Government) Residential Aged Care Consolidated (State) Award 2021.
