Electrical Design Engineer

As our new Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll be a vital part of the Industrial EI&C; team that changes the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.

Your Role Will Include

- In-depth knowledge of heavy industrial and process plant projects
- Fundamental knowledge of key Australian Standards
- Client interfacing
- Experience in detailed design of electrical, instrumentation and control systems
- Experience with power systems software

- Completed a Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia




- At least 5 years post‑graduate experience working on detailed design for industrial projects, process plants, energy sector, water sector, transport sector or mining projects, ensuring quality deliverables while meeting agreed schedules
- Applied knowledge of in‑plant electrical distribution (MV and LV systems) and motor control systems
- Applied knowledge of relevant standards including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008.1.1 and AS/NZS 2067
- Experience across all project development phases including concept, FEED and detail design
- Experience with power systems design and modelling software such as PowerCad, ETAP or equivalent
- Ability to proactively interact with Project Managers, discipline engineers and designers to support project deliverables
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Understanding of renewable energy, industrial communications systems, SCADA, PLC/DCS, industrial networking and communication systems, Hazardous Areas and Functional Safety would be viewed favourably
