The opportunity Nurture Law is a specialist Wills and Estates firm led by Kelly Gatehouse, recognised in Doyle's Guide and Best Lawyers Australia. Kelly is regularly appointed by the Court as an independent administrator and litigation guardian and is known for acting in complex succession disputes, estate administrations and strategic estate planning matters. The firm has grown consistently for five years and the estate disputes practice is now ready for a senior lawyer to help lead it.

This is not a role supporting someone else's practice. You will run your own complex matters with full autonomy, shape litigation strategy across the practice, supervise and develop our junior lawyers and paralegals, and work directly with Kelly on the direction and growth of the firm. For the right person, there is a transparent pathway to practice leadership, and we are open to a conversation about what that looks like for you.

What you will be doing

Running complex estate litigation with autonomy: family provision applications, solemn form proceedings, contested grants, will validity, construction and rectification disputes, executor removal and equitable claims

Setting strategy on the firm's most significant and sensitive matters

Appearing in Court, briefing counsel,



and leading negotiations and mediations

Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and paralegals

Building referrer relationships and helping shape how the litigation practice grows

Who we are looking for You are an experienced estate litigator, whether currently at Senior Associate, Special Counsel or Partner level, who runs complex succession disputes end to end and is trusted to make the judgment calls. You supervise well, you handle emotionally charged matters with steadiness and empathy, and you are ready for your name to carry weight in a practice rather than sitting three layers down in someone else's.
