Protech is currently seeking experienced and reliable Civil Plant Operators and Pipelayers to join our team working on a project in Port Pirie, South Australia. This is a local opportunity offering consistent work with a respected industry leader.
Positions Available
- Excavator Operators
- Loader Operators
- Skid Steer Operators
- Roller Operators
- MR/HR Truck Drivers (Water Cart, Tipper & Dump Truck experience desirable)
- Pipelayers
Key Responsibilities
- Operating civil plant and equipment
- Excavation, trenching and earthworks
- Pipe laying and drainage installation
- Conducting pre‑start inspections and basic equipment maintenance
- Following site safety policies and procedures
- Working effectively within a team environment
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in civil construction
- Current White Card (obtained through face‑to‑face training)
- Relevant RII nationally accredited plant tickets and licences (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience operating civil machinery relevant to the role
- Robust commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable, motivated and physically fit
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Minimum two recent contactable work references
- Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
