Your Role and Responsibilities

- Lead and contribute to the design, development, integration and testing of software solutions.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle, from early prototyping through to release and ongoing support.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver secure, reliable and maintainable systems.
- Participate in agile delivery activities, including estimation, sprint planning and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to continuous integration, automated testing and deployment practices.
- Use AI‑enabled development tools responsibly to support productivity, quality and engineering efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance, support design decisions and help maintain strong engineering standards across the team.

What You’ll Bring To Make An Impact

Experience in Agile, Scrum or similar delivery methodologies, and a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Skills

- Full‑stack software development, including Java, Spring Boot, React and related open‑source frameworks.
- Designing and developing secure, scalable software solutions and API services.
- Integration with external systems, services and data sources.
- CI/CD, automated testing and infrastructure‑as‑code practices, using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins and Git.
- Demonstrated experience working in a senior engineering or project environment, preferably within multidisciplinary teams delivering server‑side and client‑side applications.
- Experience with containerisation and contemporary deployment environments, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Using collaboration and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence and Git‑based workflows.

Eligibility and Clearance

This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold an active NV1 clearance, with the ability to uplift to TSPV and eventually obtain an OSA. Applicants with an active TSPV clearance are highly desirable.
