- Cover emergency department (ED) and ward operations, acting as the sole doctor on call 24/7.
- Perform in-person triage for categories 1–5 between 08:00 and 20:00 hrs.
- Overnight (20:00 – 08:00 hrs) review all Category 1, 2 and 3 ED presentations in person; review Category 4 and 5 presentations at discretion,
attending requests from nurses or clinicians.
- Respond to inpatient deteriorations and attend when called by staff.
- Conduct ward rounds and ED reviews; finalisation time negotiable with the site.
- Provide comprehensive 24‑hour emergency care, acute/subacute inpatient services, outpatient services, and primary/community health services including renal dialysis, wound management, medication delivery, hospital‑in‑the‑home, chronic disease case management, and palliative care.
- Support specialist medical and allied health visits as part of an outreach service.
Qualifications
- Registered medical practitioner with AHPRA.
- Right to work in Australia.
