Who Are We Looking For
Senior Employment Lawyer to join a full‑service Australian law firm with a strong mid‑market client base and collaborative culture.
Location: Open to Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane
Working pattern: 4–5 days per week, with 1–2 days per week in the office as required
About The Role
- Provide general employment law advisory support to a broad range of clients across multiple industries
- Advise on workplace matters including performance management, disciplinary processes, terminations, and employee relations issues
- Support and manage employment and safety related litigation matters
- Work closely with partners and senior stakeholders on strategic employment matters
- Deliver practical, commercially focused advice in a private practice environment
- Contribute to a collaborative and high performing team during a period of increased workflow
About You
- 8+ years post qualification experience in employment law
- Strong background in general employment advisory work
- Experience in safety and employment litigation (preferred)
- Experience gained in a reputable law firm or similar environment
- Ability to hit the ground running and manage matters with minimal supervision
- Strong stakeholder engagement and client management skills
- Pragmatic and commercially minded, with excellent communication skills
