We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to establish and lead the legal function within Anaman in a part-time capacity (3–4 days per week).

This is a key leadership role supporting the business across contracts, risk, compliance and governance in a rapid-paced, project-driven environment. You will work closely with senior leadership to provide pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice, while shaping a scalable legal framework for a growing business.

About the Role

- Provide strategic and day to day legal advice across the business
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial, client and supplier contracts
- Support major projects, tenders and commercial negotiations
- Establish and maintain legal, risk and compliance frameworks
- Advise on disputes, risk management and regulatory obligations
- Build fit for purpose governance, policies and processes
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders,

About You

You are a commercially astute legal professional who is comfortable operating in a standalone capacity and influencing at a senior level.

- Admission as a lawyer in Queensland with an unrestricted practising certificate
- 7 or more years post-qualification experience in-house or large firm
- Strong experience in commercial, construction, infrastructure or resources environments
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders
- Pragmatic, solutions focused approach
- Comfortable balancing strategic input with hands on delivery
