Our client is a global firm with a top-tier quality construction practice.

The Role

Due to growth the Construction team are looking to appoint a construction litigation senior associate to work closely with 2 highly regarded partners. You will sit within the broader construction team consisting of 10 plus lawyers and operate within the global practice.

Their clients are made up of tier 1 developers and contractors, large international construction/engineering and renewable energy companies and large corporate entities.

Responsibilities

- Working on a broad range of construction disputes and arbitration matters, including those arising under major project, EPC, design and construct, and consultancy agreements. Disputes will include variations, extensions of time, delay and disruption claims, defect rectification matters and security of payment disputes.
- You will be involved with drafting witness statements, submissions,



pleading and coordinating evidence and assist with negotiation and settlement of disputes,including participation in mediations, expert determinations, and other alternative dispute resolution processes.
- You will Liaise with counsel, experts, and consultants to develop case strategy and prepare for hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.

You will have at least 5 years PQE from a construction litigation and arbitration practice in Australia.

You will have an enthusiastic attitude towards construction matters and be a robust team player. You will have a proven ability to manage deadlines and stress.

You will have a strong academic transcript.
