Our client

In executing the firm’s exciting growth plans, we’ve been exclusively retained in the search for a senior construction lawyer to help establish and lead their Brisbane office.

This is a genuine ground-floor opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level and build something meaningful - with real backing from an eminent partnership group, national workflow, and a clear growth plan.

The role

- Lead a main contractor-focused construction disputes practice in Brisbane
- Predominantly back-end work (think claims strategy, adjudications, disputes), with some front-end exposure if you enjoy it
- A mix of Brisbane-originated work and immediate support from an established eastern seaboard practice




- Work to step into and active support from the senior leadership team who will be travelling to Brisbane on a regular basis

What they’re looking for

- 10+ years’ PAE in construction disputes
- Solid credentials in adjudication / SOP and contractor-side disputes (Tier 2 contractor client base ideal)
- Commercial mindset and the ability to lead matters, lead clients, and lead people
- Ideally some portable relationships / BD capability (circa $750k+ in fees is the sweet spot), but they’re also open to the right lawyer with clear growth upside
