Overview

Electrician (QLD) – Metallurgical Operations, Maintenance – Copper Smelter, Mount Isa, Queensland, Australia. This role offers exposure to the largest industrial complex in Australia where copper concentrate is transformed into copper metal.

Responsibilities

- Preventative & statutory maintenance
- Breakdowns & fault finding
- Continuous improvement of the electrical infrastructure
- Work within a team workplace
- Contribute to the flow of copper at one of only two Australian copper smelters

Qualifications





- Trade qualification – Electrician with an equivalent Queensland Electrical Mechanic License
- Attention to detail and a desire for high work quality
- Safety as a core personal value
- Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively

Nice to Have

- Industrial process control, instrumentation maintenance and calibrations
- Experience with LV/HV motors, VVVF drives, HV switchgear, turbines and synchronous machines
- Exposure to Yokogawa Centum VP DCS or Allen Bradley PLCs
- Cert 3 or 4 in Instrumentation
- Fixed plant maintenance experience
