About Mytra
We’re creating an entirely new way to solve the most ubiquitous problem in industry – moving and storing material. We’re applying robotics and distributed software to create a current class of product for this $1T market. We’re focused on the supply chain industry first. The industry is in a massive bind with the continued growth of e‑commerce, sharp rise in costs, and supply chain disruptions. What has been a “sleepy” industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.
About The Role
Mytra is seeking a Systems Engineering Lead to serve as the technical architect and integrator for our robotic platform. This lead role is responsible for the system‑level technical roadmap, cross‑disciplinary alignment, and long‑term reliability of the product.
You will operate at the intersection of hardware, embedded systems, controls, perception, software, and infrastructure – ensuring that Mytra’s platform evolves as a coherent system, not a collection of subsystems. You will also make high‑impact decisions that balance performance, cost, safety, reliability, and speed – ensuring the platform scales without accumulating hidden system risk.
Responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end system architecture of Mytra’s robotic platform across mechanical, electrical, embedded, controls, and software domains.
- Define and evolve the technical roadmap to ensure the platform scales in capability, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Establish clear system boundaries, interfaces, and responsibility splits between engineering teams.
- Mediate high‑stakes technical decisions to keep the engineering teams aligned and moving at startup speed.
- Distill complex field data, edge‑case failures, and prototype learnings into a clear system‑level technical narrative.
Qualifications
- BS, MS, or equivalent practical experience in engineering with 7+ years of experience in designing and building complex mechatronics systems.
- Passion for solving challenging technical problems – solid engineering intuition and persistence to identify root causes and solve problems using first principles.
- Familiar with all phases of product development lifecycle including requirement gathering, design, implementation, debugging, verification, qualification, and transfer to manufacturing.
- Familiar with Product Lifecycle Management and documentation control systems.
Benefits Include
- Competitive compensation and equity grants at a high‑growth company backed by top‑tier VCs.
- Fully subsidized health coverage, including medical, dental, and vision for employees and dependents.
- 401(k) plans and employer‑subsidized life insurance.
- Fully subsidized lunch and snacks at HQ.
- Generous PTO and company‑paid holidays, including one week over the winter break.
- Voluntary pet insurance, life insurance, accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity.
- Fully subsidized tax advisory services and education to help you understand your equity.
- Commuter perks, including up to $150 monthly commuter benefit.
- Lively, modern combined office and lab space for rapid iteration through design, build, and test phases.
- Fully equipped onsite gym and showers at headquarters.
