A North Eastern NSW hospital requires a Senior Medical Officer in General Practice. The role involves providing anaesthesia services to patients undergoing surgery and obstetric procedures, working unsupervised and managing all aspects of anaesthesia care.
Shift Schedule
- 03/08/ :00 to 06/08/ :00 – $2750 per day
- 13/08/ :00 to 17/08/ :00 – $2750 per day
- 31/08/ :00 to 03/09/ :00 – $2750 per day
- 10/09/ :00 to 14/09/ :00 – $2750 per day
- 21/12/ :00 to 27/12/ :00 – $2750 per day
All shifts are 24 hours from 0800 to 0800, with flexibility to accommodate travel needs.
The role involves scheduled theatre lists during the day and being on call overnight, providing airway support in the Emergency Department as needed while on call. GP Anaesthetists will assist with elective lists, emergency cases, and obstetrics.
Locums presenting for more than 7 days on call will be required to have 2 mandatory rest days for fatigue management.

- This district hospital is a 52‑bed facility offering medical services including acute medical and surgical, maternity, palliative care, day surgery, emergency, renal dialysis, and paediatric care.
