Full-Time Optometrist – Otway Optical, Colac

About the Role

Otway Optical is seeking a passionate and motivated full-time Optometrist (4–5 days per week) to join our established and growing practice in Colac. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a modern clinical environment with a strong focus on patient care and long-term outcomes.

Whether you're a new graduate or experienced practitioner, you'll be supported by a second full-time optometrist and a knowledgeable team of optical dispensers.

Work with Elite Athletes

Otway Optical and Eyesports are jointly owned, providing unique opportunities to work in sports vision . You’ll assist both amateur and professional athletes with customised sports eyewear, including prescription inserts for ski goggles, cycling glasses, and more.

You’re a confident, caring optometrist with a passion for providing outstanding eye care. You’re also eager to make full use of the technology available and enjoy working as part of a supportive, collaborative team.

Key Requirements:

- AHPRA registered optometrist
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Interest in specialty care and advanced diagnostics
- Enthusiastic about continuing professional development
- New graduates encouraged to apply

Your Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions
- Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses, including for complex and sports needs
- Use advanced diagnostic tools to guide patient care
- Educate patients on eye health and treatment options
