About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer experience to deliver product upsells, cross-sells, and annual renewals. You will manage the full sales cycle for your portfolio, from opportunity identification through to negotiation and closure. Your dedication to customer satisfaction, your ability to maximize sales opportunities, and your resourcefulness in overcoming obstacles will be key to our success.
About You
As an Account Manager for our Recruitment OS Division, you'll play a crucial role in the overall success of the team, supporting our existing customer base and contributing to our revenue growth objectives. Working as an Account Manager is fast paced, challenging and highly rewarding. You'll need to be confident, energetic, extremely organised, a strong communicator, relationship driven, and highly adaptable.
Day-to-day, you will be focused on:
- Proactively engaging with customers, understanding their challenges or barriers to growth, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell relevant products to deliver solutions to drive their businesses forward.
- Taking ownership of a portfolio of clients, guiding them through their journey with Access Recruitment OS, collaborating closely with Customer Success to nurture and uphold robust relationships and optimize their annual renewal process
- Developing a deep understanding of client companies, their recruitment operations, industry challenges, and work culture to position solutions effectively
- Having a sound knowledge of the full range of our Products & Services. To be able to discuss the value proposition for each offering
- Hitting/exceeding sales targets through strong prioritization, pipeline management and accurate forecasting
- Sourcing and developing self-generated pipeline through networking, research, and proactive client engagement
- Managing multiple sales cycles simultaneously, adapting quickly to changing client priorities and market conditions
- Negotiating pricing, terms and conditions of contracts to reach solutions acceptable to all parties
- Problem-solving when deals encounter obstacles, thinking fast to find solutions that work for everyone
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across Sales, Customer Success, Presales, and Product teams on shared client goals
- Maintaining accurate Salesforce records for all opportunities, activities, and client interactions
- Conducting thorough discovery calls and manage forecasting cadence with accuracy
Your skills and experience might also include:
Communication - Being a strong communicator is fundamental. You will need to communicate clearly and purposefully with colleagues, clients and stakeholders always. You will often be the go‑between when clients and internal teams are collaborating, so it is imperative that you give all parties the correct information at the correct time. Being able to negotiate and problem solve rests on your ability to communicate with people from different professional backgrounds at different levels of seniority and build relationships while you go.
Adaptability - In recruitment technology the landscape can change in an instant. Your client may commit to an expansion then face a sudden hiring freeze. You will need to think fast and figure out solutions that work for everyone or risk damaging relationships. Your resourcefulness, how you adapt to these scenarios and overcome obstacles, will determine your success as an Account Manager.
Negotiation - Negotiation is a central part of the role. You will negotiate contract terms, pricing, and timelines with clients who want the best solution within budget constraints.
The ability to negotiate a solution which works for both parties is a key skill which all successful Account Managers must master.
Problem Solving - The ability to problem solve is essential. No two days are the same and problems which need fixing are common. A client experiencing technical difficulties before a critical campaign, or needing faster onboarding – what do you do? Those who solve problems like these while maintaining strong relationships will thrive in this role.
Teamwork - While account management may seem individual, it's centred around teamwork and supporting colleagues to meet collective goals. Account Managers collaborate with Customer Success, Presales, and Product teams on client initiatives. They share insights about client needs, support colleagues on complex implementations, and work together on shared revenue goals.
Organisation - Perhaps premier among these core skills is organisation. Account management is fast paced and ever changing. You will juggle multiple clients, numerous opportunities in various stages, and a diverse portfolio of accounts. Mix this with client meetings, internal briefings, product training, and collaboration on shared initiatives, and your workload can quickly get muddled. Being highly organised and able to balance all of this is crucial.
