THE ROLE
- Work closely with a Director and Senior Manager, supporting a fee base of $1.5 million and playing a genuine leadership role within the team
- Mentor and assist a team of 4 junior accountants, including an undergraduate — helping to develop the next generation of talent
- Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns and business activity statements for a diverse client portfolio
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries, present financial results and build trusted, long-term relationships
- Identify tax planning opportunities and structuring advice relevant to client circumstances
- Contribute to internal process improvement and team development initiatives
- Step into real CFO advisory work — including monthly and quarterly dashboard reporting, business strategy and growth planning — for clients who rely on you as a trusted advisor

YOU
- CA or CPA qualified (or near completion) with around 5 years of experience in an Australian practice environment
- Confident preparing and reviewing compliance work
- Comfortable with Xero and cloud-based tools
- Previous experience or strong aptitude to do advisory work
- A natural communicator who can lead juniors, manage upwards and present confidently to clients
