About Our Client
We're partnering with a well‑established, national organisation within the logistics and services sector to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Manager. Based at a modern Eagle Farm head office, this is a hands‑on leadership role overseeing a high‑performing AP function supporting a complex, fast‑moving operation.
Job Description
- Leading and coaching the accounts payable team
- Overseeing day‑to‑day AP activities across weekly and monthly payment cycles
- Ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier, contractor and third‑party payments
- Maintaining integrity of supplier data and oversee routine balance reconciliations
- Monitoring compliance with internal policies, approval frameworks and audit standards
- Managing period‑end activities including operational accruals
- Acting as the go‑to subject matter expert for AP systems, driving efficiency and best practice
- Building strong working relationships across Finance, Operations and Procurement
- Serving as an escalation point for complex or sensitive supplier queries
- Delivering responsive, professional service aligned with agreed service standards
- Producing regular AP performance reports and operational metrics
- Contributing to system upgrades, workflow improvements and finance projects
- Participating in continuous improvement forums and cross‑functional initiatives
The Successful Applicant
- Proven experience leading Accounts Payable teams in a high‑volume setting
- Confident people leader with strong coaching and engagement skills
- Exceptionally detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and controls
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines
- Solid communicator capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Systems‑savvy with solid Microsoft Office skills and an improvement mindset
- Formal qualification in Finance or Accounting (highly desirable)
