Job description:
Your impact
Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Shovel Supervisor,
you will maintain and service high voltage electrical systems across the Heavy Mobile Equipment loading fleet. You will maximise scheduled maintenance time, minimise unplanned downtime, and contribute to continuous improvement through quality workmanship and effective fault-finding.
As part of our team you will
• Maintain and service electrical systems on electric loading fleet
• Diagnose and rectify breakdown faults efficiently
• Conduct defect elimination inspections
• Repair and refurbish failed electrical components
• Interpret onboard monitoring systems and diagnostics
• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders
• Coordinate parts and tooling requirements
• Support contractors and ensure safe work practices
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards
Prerequisites for your success in the role
- WA Electrical Licence
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current LVR Certification
- C-Class Driver's Licence
- Experience with Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) in mining operations or related heavy industry settings
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capability
- Planned maintenance and breakdown repair exposure
- Computer literacy and documentation accuracy
- Commitment to safety systems, isolations and risk assessments

- CAT 7495 Electric Rope Shovels
- Mine Reticulation - Substation, Switch-house, Trailing Cable Maintenance
- AC electrical drive systems
- Component repair and refurbishment
Highly regarded
- Experience on large electric rope or hydraulic shovels
- High Risk licences (W@H, EWP, Forklift)
- HV Switching Qualification
- Confined Space Entry qualification
- SAP experience
- CAT SIS 2.0 experience
- Microsoft Office Applications
