Your role at St John of God Health Care

Make a lasting impact through transformational philanthropy as our Donor Relationship Manager (Philanthropy), playing a pivotal role in driving St John of God Foundation's ambitious growth strategy through the cultivation of meaningful relationships with high-net-worth individuals, and other philanthropic partners.

Through strategic donor engagement, compelling proposals, thoughtful stewardship and the delivery of a best-practice major gifts and gifts in wills program, you will secure significant philanthropic contributions that expand our reach, strengthen our sustainability and create lasting change for the communities we serve.

The Position:

- Develop and deliver a major gifts and gifts in wills strategy for WA hospitals, driving philanthropic revenue growth and achieving agreed fundraising targets and KPIs.
- Build, manage and steward a portfolio of major donors, corporate partners and prospective supporters, securing gifts ranging from $10,000 to $500,000+.
- Identify and cultivate new funding opportunities, preparing compelling proposals, presentations and stewardship reports that inspire transformational giving.
- Partner with clinicians, executives, volunteers and key stakeholders to enhance donor engagement, lead high-value fundraising conversations and foster a culture of philanthropy.

- Ensure an exceptional supporter experience through best-practice donor stewardship, accurate CRM management, and effective internal stakeholder engagement.

The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused fundraising professional with significant experience (7+ years) in major gifts, gifts in wills, business development, partnerships or a related field. With a proven track record of securing high-value contributions and achieving ambitious financial targets, you bring expertise in donor portfolio management, stakeholder engagement and cultivating long-term philanthropic relationships.

You will be an exceptional communicator with strong influencing and relationship-building skills, capable of engaging and inspiring donors, clinicians, executives and other senior stakeholders. Your experience preparing compelling proposals, reports and presentations, confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, and commitment to integrity, professionalism and adaptability will enable you to represent the Foundation to the highest standards.

Experience within healthcare, large and complex organisations, or medical research environments will be highly regarded, as will tertiary qualifications in Business, Communications or a related discipline and membership of the Fundraising Institute of Australia.

A willingness to travel intrastate and interstate and support occasional after-hours events is essential.
