Axis Plumbing QLD is a rapidly growing commercial construction company delivering high-quality hydraulic, plumbing and construction projects across Queensland. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Manager to join our leadership team.

This is an exciting prospect for a results-driven skilled who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading teams to successfully deliver projects from commencement through to completion.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager of Small Works, you will oversee multiple construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will provide leadership to Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and site teams while maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage commercial construction projects from commencement through to completion.

- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to company quality standards.

- Lead, mentor and support Project Managers, Site Managers, Supervisors and site personnel.

- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, materials, plant and equipment across multiple projects.

- Monitor project budgets, schedules, forecasting and overall performance.

- Review and approve project documentation, procurement, contract variations and reporting.

- Identify project risks and implement proactive solutions.





- Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.

- Provide regular progress reports to senior management.

- Be available outside normal business hours to respond to project emergencies where required.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Extensive experience managing commercial and/or residential construction projects.

- Proven leadership experience managing project teams and subcontractors.

- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project delivery and contract administration.

- Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

- Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.

- The ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

- Current driver’s licence.
