For nearly 50 years Nagrom has been an integral part of Western Australia's mining success story. So much so, we now provide services to mining companies and their operations both within Australia and overseas. Located in Kelmscott, Western Australia, Nagrom's treatment plant offers extensive capabilities in all aspects of mineral separation and concentrates preparation. We are seeking a suitably qualified Chemical Engineer – Mineral Processing to join our metallurgical team. This role will report directly to the General Manager of the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
· Applying chemical engineering principles to the design, development and optimisation of chemical and metallurgical processes.
· Conducting chemical process testing, including reaction chemistry and process optimisation.
· Developing and optimising process flowsheets for hydrometallurgical and pyrometallurgical processes.
· Conducting metallurgical and hydrometallurgical testwork
· Developing effective work flowsheets for different projects
· Establishing and monitoring project budgets and issuing project invoices
· Participating in large-scale continuous pilot plant operations as required, and analysing and interpreting operating results
· Working in partnership with metallurgists to solve client problems to ensure quality and customer satisfaction standards are met
· Preparing substantial portions of written technical reports for issue to clients
· Compiling, verifying, interpreting and reporting test data
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in hydrometallurgy, pyrometallurgy and mineral processing will be highly regarded. Demonstrated knowledge in the following areas is preferred:
· Mineral processing
· Flotation (Oxide and Sulphide)
· Hydrometallurgical testing
· Experience conducting laboratory-based chemical and metallurgical testwork, including synthesis and reaction chemistry methodologies.
· Metallurgical accounting and reporting
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
You are a qualified Chemical Engineer with experience in Mineral Processing and Hydrometallurgical Operations. You enjoy solving complex technical problems, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, and delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
As a minimum, you will have:
· Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or another closely related engineering discipline with at least 1 year of relevant Chemical Engineering experience.
· Demonstrated experience leading technical projects and collaborating within multidisciplinary teams
· Strong project management skills
· Solid verbal and written communication skills
Pay: $79,450.00 – $99,450.00 per year
