Are you an experienced perioperative nurse with a passion for Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) surgery? We are seeking motivated and experienced Registered Nurses to join our dedicated ENT Theatre team.

Working alongside experienced Clinical Nurses, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, Anaesthetists and ENT Surgeons, you will provide safe, high-quality perioperative care across a broad range of complex ENT procedures within a collaborative and highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

What you’ll do?

- Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing ENT procedures.

- - Prepare theatres, equipment, instrumentation and consumables for scheduled operating lists.

- - Scrub and/or scout for a wide variety of ENT procedures, including: Complex otology (ear) surgery, Head and neck surgery, Rhinology and sinus procedures, Airway and laryngeal procedures

- - Demonstrate safe handling and care of specialised ENT instrumentation, endoscopic equipment and laser systems.

- - Maintain surgeon preference cards and identify opportunities to improve theatre efficiency.

- - Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, CSSD and the multidisciplinary team.

- Support the orientation and development of new staff and graduates.

- - Participate in ongoing education, competency development and quality improvement initiatives.

- - Deliver patient-centred, evidence-based perioperative care while maintaining the highest standards of safety.

What Makes a Difference for Us?

- Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) with current AHPRA registration.

- Minimum of two years' perioperative Scrub/Scout experience in an acute operating theatre.

- Recent experience in ENT surgery is essential.

- Experience with shared airway procedures, complex ear (otology) surgery and head & neck surgery is highly desirable.





- Laser competency or previous experience working with surgical laser procedures is highly desirable.

- Demonstrated knowledge of specialised ENT instrumentation and equipment.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Commitment to delivering safe, patient-centred care and evidence-based practice.

- Australian working rights (we are currently unable to offer sponsorship).

- Availability to work AM and PM shifts with participation in an on-call roster.

- Willingness to meet vaccination and immunisation requirements in line with hospital infection prevention and control standards.

- Flexibility to support other perioperative specialties as required.
