ZZW Health Care Pty Ltd, trading as Acupuncture & Massage on Erina Fair, is seeking a qualified and experienced Massage Therapist to join our therapeutic health-care practice on a full-time basis.

This is a therapeutic and remedial massage position focused on assisting clients experiencing muscular pain, soft-tissue dysfunction, restricted movement, postural concerns, sports-related strain and other physical conditions. The role does not involve retail sales, beauty treatments or general non-medical relaxation massage.

Main duties

The successful applicant will conduct client consultations, review relevant health and treatment histories, assess posture, range of movement, muscular tension and areas of pain, and identify any contraindications before treatment.

The Massage Therapist will prepare individual treatment plans and provide remedial massage, deep-tissue techniques, trigger-point therapy, myofascial release, sports massage, acupressure and other appropriate soft-tissue treatments.

The role includes monitoring clients’ responses to treatment, reviewing progress and adjusting techniques or treatment plans where necessary. The employee will provide advice regarding stretching, posture, movement, exercise and aftercare to support treatment outcomes.

The Massage Therapist will maintain accurate and confidential consultation records,



treatment notes and progress reports. Where a client’s condition is outside the therapist’s professional scope, the employee will refer the client to an acupuncturist, physiotherapist, general practitioner or other appropriate health professional.

The employee will also maintain hygienic treatment rooms, equipment and linen, comply with infection-control, privacy and workplace health and safety requirements, and work cooperatively with other therapeutic practitioners.

Qualifications and experience

Applicants must have:

- a Diploma of Remedial Massage or an equivalent recognised qualification;
- relevant experience providing remedial and therapeutic massage treatments;
- sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, musculoskeletal conditions and treatment contraindications;
- demonstrated skills in client assessment, treatment planning and clinical record keeping;
- current First Aid and CPR certification;
- robust communication, client-care and time-management skills; and
- the ability to work independently and as part of a therapeutic health-care team.

Experience working with acupuncture or allied health practitioners will be highly regarded.

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
