About the Role: We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our busy mailhouse production team. You will be responsible for setting up and operating high-speed mailing equipment, such as inserting machines, folders, and barcode scanners, to ensure client communications are processed accurately and on time. This is a fast-paced role that requires a mix of mechanical aptitude and a sharp eye for detail. Whether you are an experienced operator or a trainee with a "can-do" attitude, we provide a supportive workplace with on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, monitor, and adjust mailing machinery to meet production targets.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular checks to ensure the correct materials (envelopes, brochures, letters) are being used and that the final product meets high standards.
- Maintenance: Perform basic troubleshooting and routine cleaning and maintenance of machine parts to minimize downtime.
- Logistics: Manually load raw materials into machinery and prepare finished mail for dispatch.
- Safety: Adhere to all Work Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in a mailhouse, print finishing, or warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20kg–25kg regularly.
- Technical Skills: Basic PC skills and a natural mechanical aptitude.
- Reliability: A high level of punctuality and the ability to work in a time-sensitive setting.
- Requirements: Full Australian working rights and a current Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
