About First Step Therapies

First Step Therapies is a growing allied health clinic dedicated to providing high-quality support services to clients of all ages. Our passionate team offers speech pathology, occupational therapy, counselling, and other allied health services, making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and families in our community.

Position Overview

We are seeking a warm, motivated, and professional administrator to join our friendly team. We are looking for a candidate to fill the administration role for a contracted term of 12 months (January 2027-December 2027) with the possibility to extend the contract following completion. Full training will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career, looking to gain experience in an allied health environment. Prior experience in administration is preferred.

As an administrator, you will support the day-to-day running of our clinic and help create a welcoming and supportive experience for clients and families.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet clients and families in a friendly and qualified manner
- Liaise professionally with client supports and other service providers
- Answer and manage incoming phone calls
- Coordinate appointment schedules, confirmations, and cancellations across multiple disciplines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and ensure data confidentiality
- Monitor medical referrals, service agreements and consent documentation
- Complete administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and basic office duties
- Process client payments and generate invoicing
- Track and manage outstanding invoices




- Process weekly accounts payable
- Help maintain a tidy and organised reception area
- Assist the team with general office support as needed
- Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, client accounts and financial records
