Civmec is delivering major SMPE&I; works for Iluka’s Eneabba Rare Earths Refinery — a nationally significant project shaping Australia’s rare earths future. We're seeking experienced SMP Supervisors to lead Mechanical, Piping, and Rigging crews on one of Australia's most significant construction projects. This is an opportunity for hands-on leaders to take ownership of key work fronts, build high-performing teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of a landmark development.

This position is based at the Iluka Rare Earths Refinery in Eneabba, approximately 274 km north of Perth, Western Australia. We offer a 2:1 DIDO roster, with all transport to and from site provided from Perth Airport.

The Role

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage Structural, Mechanical and Piping (SMP) works across the Eneabba Refinery project
- Lead and supervise site crews to ensure safe, efficient and high‑quality execution
- Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors and client representatives
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, engineering specifications and project schedules
- Conduct site inspections and verify work meets engineering and client requirements
- Identify and resolve on‑site issues to maintain productivity and minimise delays




- Assist with planning and sequencing of SMP works to optimise resources
- Maintain accurate daily records, progress updates and incident reporting
- Promote continuous improvement and uphold Civmec’s values across all site activities

About You

- S26 Certification - Mandatory
- Trade qualification in Pipefitting, Boilermaking(highly regarded)
- Tickets in Rigging and Scaffolding (highly regarded)
- First Aid & CPR
- Proven experience supervising SMP works in major construction or heavy industry (highly regarded)
- Experience overseeing piping installation, commissioning and structural/mechanical assembly
- Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills
