Junior Sous Chef – Full-Time | $80,000 + Super | Rowville

Eating House Rowville is seeking an experienced and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team.

We are a busy, established modern brasserie serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, with a strong focus on quality food, consistency, functions and catering.

This position would suit an experienced Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie ready to take the next step into kitchen management.

The Role

Working closely with our Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will:

- Lead kitchen service and maintain consistent food quality and presentation
- Support the daily preparation and organisation of all kitchen sections
- Supervise, train and motivate chefs, cooks and kitchen hands
- Assist with ordering, stock rotation, portion control and waste reduction
- Maintain food safety, cleanliness and workplace standards
- Help manage service during busy breakfast, lunch and dinner periods
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen, management and front-of-house teams
- Step into a senior leadership role when required

About You

You will have:

- Strong experience in a busy, high-volume commercial kitchen
- Experience as a Chef de Partie,



Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef
- Confidence working across multiple kitchen sections
- Strong organisation, communication and service leadership skills
- A calm and practical approach during busy services
- High standards for food quality, presentation and cleanliness
- Availability across weekdays, evenings and weekends
- Full and unrestricted Australian working rights
- A relevant cookery qualification preferred
