Job Description: (Evening Shift 4pm-10pm Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday)
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced female disability support worker (participant's choice) with a strong background in managing behaviours of concern to join our dynamic team. As a disability support worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities, fostering their independence, and promoting their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide one-on-one support to individuals with disabilities in various settings, including their homes, community centers, and educational institutions.
- Assist clients with daily activities, meal preparations, and household chores, while promoting independence and dignity.
- Develop and implement individualised support plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
- Utilise effective behaviour management techniques to address and deescalate challenging behaviours, ensuring the safety and well-being of both clients and support staff.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and other support professionals to ensure holistic and collaborative care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of client progress, incidents, and the support provided in compliance with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in disability support and behaviour management.

Requirements:





- Previous experience working as a disability support worker or in a related role, preferably with a focus on behaviour management.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage challenging behaviours in a calm and respectful manner, utilizing evidence-based techniques and strategies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with individuals with disabilities and their families.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards supporting individuals with disabilities, recognizing their unique strengths and challenges.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a relevant qualification is highly desirable.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred).
