Clinical Psychologist / Registered Psychologist

Job Summary

Better Life Allied Health is seeking a passionate and motivated Clinical Psychologist or Registered Psychologist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This role involves conducting psychological assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents, and adults.

You will have the prospect to work with a diverse caseload, including Medicare, NDIS, Workers Compensation (SIRA), Compulsory Third Party (CTP), and private clients. The successful candidate will work autonomously while collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, client-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and current best practice.
- Provide psychological services under:
- Medicare (Mental Health Care Plans)
- Workers Compensation (SIRA)
- Compulsory Third Party (CTP)
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
- Private clients
- Assess and support clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), intellectual disability, anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health conditions.
- Complete NDIS assessments, functional capacity assessments, review reports, and progress reports.
- Administer and interpret psychological assessments for adults and children, including but not limited to:
- ADOS-2
- ADI-R
- CARS
- Vineland-3
- WISC-V
- WIAT-3
- WAIS-IV
- Other standardised psychological assessments as required.
- Prepare comprehensive psychological, medico-legal, and forensic reports when required.
- Maintain accurate, timely,



and compliant clinical notes and reports in accordance with AHPRA and APS professional standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case conferences and collaborate with GPs, psychiatrists, schools, insurers, and allied health professionals.
- Attend regular clinical supervision and engage in ongoing professional development to maintain professional competency.
- Respond to legal requests where required, including subpoenas and court-related matters.

Essential Criteria

- General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Clinical Psychology Area of Practice Endorsement is highly regarded but not essential.
- Eligible for Medicare provider registration.
- SIRA Approved Psychologist or willing to obtain approval.
- Excellent clinical assessment, formulation, intervention, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.

Desirable Criteria

- Clinical Psychology Area of Practice Endorsement.
- Board-approved Supervisor.
- Membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
- Fellowship of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists.
- Experience working with Medicare, NDIS, Workers Compensation (SIRA), and CTP clients.
- Experience conducting ASD, ADHD, cognitive, developmental, educational, and IQ assessments.
- Ability to communicate in Mandarin,



Cantonese, or Korean is highly regarded.

Skills & Knowledge

- Strong knowledge of evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention.
- Excellent clinical reasoning and report-writing skills.
- Sound understanding of ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities under AHPRA and APS guidelines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record systems.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Work Environment

This is a clinic-based position within a multidisciplinary allied health practice. The role offers a supportive team setting with full administrative support and modern consulting facilities.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $300,000.00 per year
