The Opportunity

With an ever increasing caseload, and desire to ensure our team maintain sustainable work hours, we are again looking for high quality nurses to join the MARS family. We need highly motivated and passionate Veterinary Nurses with a genuine interest in surgery, from anaesthesia through to recovery. Our nurses work 10-hour shifts, supporting a healthy work-life balance (full-time = 4 days per week), within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

- Reliability, honesty, and strong work ethic
- Experience with ezyVet and SmartFlow is advantageous.

Experience & Qualifications

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in practice
- Additional training in anaesthesia, pain management, imaging, or similar areas highly regarded

Clinical Responsibilities

- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
- Support surgical and emergency procedures
- Assist with diagnostic imaging (CT, radiography, fluoroscopy)
- Place IV catheters
- Perform anaesthetic induction and intubation under supervision
- Monitor anaesthesia, including ventilator use (training provided if required)
- Patient recovery
- Provide nursing care to hospitalised patients, pain management & medication administration
- Monitor critical care patients
- Support clear, compassionate client communication
