Lumos One Denison is a busy, highly regarded café restaurant located in North Sydney. We pride ourselves on delivering a premium, fresh dine-in breakfast and lunch experience to our community. We are currently seeking a passionate, reliable, and trade-qualified Full-Time Chef to join our team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and cooking of all dishes in accordance with our recipes and presentation standards.
- Manage stock control, place supplier orders and monitor food portion costs.
- Design daily and seasonal specials to complement our core menu.
- Enforce strict food hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety practices across all kitchen stations.
- Lead the kitchen team, organize daily prep lists, and train junior kitchen staff.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification).
- At least 1 to 2 years of full time experience working as a Chef in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and inventory management.
- Excellent leadership abilities, speed, and communication skills.
