About the role

Westpoint Auto Body has been providing motor vehicle body repair and paintwork to all makes and models for a number of years. With a reputation built on quality and a team of qualified body repairers at our Truganina workshop, we are now looking for an experienced Mechanic to join us. This is a hands-on trade role for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and is committed to delivering high-quality results on every job.

Key responsibilities

- Work across a steady mix of servicing and repair jobs, managing your own time and keeping jobs moving without sacrificing the standard of work
- Diagnose problems properly, using both hands-on knowledge and electronic diagnostic equipment to find the actual fault before touching anything
- Carry out repairs and mechanical rebuilds accurately, using manufacturer documentation as the benchmark and verifying your work before anything goes back to the customer




- Handle routine maintenance with the same attention as the bigger jobs, because preventative work done well keeps customers off the lift longer
- Assess vehicles for roadworthiness and prepare accurate reports or certificates where your qualifications allow

About you

- Trade-qualified mechanic (or with relevant experience) with genuine workshop experience and the diagnostic ability to back it up
- Someone who takes pride in their work and doesn't cut corners when rebuilding or reassembling
- Comfortable with computerised diagnostic tools and able to interpret what they're telling you
- Organised and self-directed, able to move between jobs without losing focus on quality
- Current driver's licence essential

Pay: $80,000.00 per year
