Job Description

We are seeking Environmental Services Assistants to provide day-day cleaning across our patient rooms, office spaces and brand-new Emergency Department. This opportunity will have you being a part of a brilliant team of people responsible for providing the highest standards of cleanliness specifically to our operating theatres department.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas
- Upholding infection control standards by adhering to standard protocols and any additional precautions
- Disposing of soiled general and clinical waste
- Working in a friendly and supportive manner at all times
- Maintaining communication networks with nursing staff and other stakeholders ensuring quality clinical outcomes are achieved

Reporting to the Hotel Services Manager,



you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Team and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality patient care is delivered in line with the care values and strategic direction of the Hospital and Ramsay Health Care.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidates will be punctual, reliable and with a commitment to genuine, friendly customer service.

- Previous experience in a hospital environment is highly regarded but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- Compliance Workplace, Health and Safety and Infection Control
- Have experience in cleaning services
- Be a team player and love to work within a large team
- Demonstrate attention to detail and take pride in your work
- Self-motivation and proficiency in working effectively while adhering to instructions and infection prevention and control
- Availability to work across a 7-day rotating roster is essential including mornings, afternoons and nights

Additional Information
