Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook authentic Mexican dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
- Prepare, portion, season and organise ingredients before service.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure food is cooked, presented and portioned consistently to a high standard.
- Prepare sauces, salsas, marinades and other food components required for daily operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations and comply with food safety,



hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Monitor stock levels, minimise food wastage and assist with receiving and storing deliveries.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
- Assist with menu development, daily kitchen operations and training of junior staff where required.

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent qualification.
- Diploma of Hospitality Management or a related qualification is desirable.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
- Experience preparing authentic Mexican cuisine or working in a Mexican restaurant is highly regarded.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, commercial kitchen operations and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisational and teamwork skills.
- Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer experiences.
- Availability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
