The Institute of Construction Materials (ICONSMAT) is seeking an experienced and motivated Migration Lawyer or Registered Migration Agent to support our growing international training and workforce development programs within the Australian construction and mining industries.
We are looking for a professional with strong experience in employer sponsorship pathways, particularly Subclass 407 Training Visas and Subclass 482 Skills in Demand visas, who can assist eligible candidates through the sponsorship and nomination process while working closely with our industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and advise on Subclass 407 and Subclass 482 visa pathways
- Coordinate sponsorship and nomination processes with Australian businesses
- Liaise with employers, trainees, and government authorities
- Assess eligibility and compliance requirements under Australian migration law
- Assist with preparation and lodgement of visa applications
- Build and maintain relationships with industry sponsors across Australia
- Provide strategic migration advice aligned with workforce shortages in construction and mining sectors
Requirements
- OMARA registration is mandatory
- Migration lawyer or Registered Migration Agent with demonstrated experience in Australian employer-sponsored visas
- Strong understanding of sponsorship, nomination, and compliance obligations
- Existing network of active/current business sponsors preferred
- Excellent communication and case management skills
- Experience working with construction, trades, engineering, or industrial sectors is highly desirable
