About the role
As a Compliance Officer you will be a part of the Local Laws and Parking team and will be responsible for undertaking investigations related to Council’s local laws and a variety of State legislation.
Your key responsibilities will include;
- Investigating community compliance and licensing issues in accordance with adopted policies and procedures.
- Providing telephone, site based and counter reception services in a highly customer focussed manner.
- Inspecting properties and liaising with property owners/occupants regarding breaches of legislation.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience undertaking investigations and making sound decisions based on legislation, policy and evidence.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently manage challenging situations.
- The ability to be resilient, agile, and a supportive team member
- Belief in our values of safety and wellbeing, communication, collaboration, integrity, efficiency and leadership
- Current ‘C’ class drivers licence
- Certificate IV Government Investigations or substantial equivalent experience
- Construction card

This is a fixed term position, with a salary commencing at $79,411 plus 12.5% superannuation.
