What makes our workplace unique is the commitment to flexibility so that everyone can make their work life be exactly what they want and need it to be. We don't just say we will do it, we actually commit to flexibility and respecting what each individual employee needs.

Things we dont do:

- make it difficult to change work hours or days to fit around a commitment, event or holiday you have. We want you to do these things as well! We haven't said no to any of these requests in the past.

- Comment, complain or make you feel guilty for needing to take time off for you children and family when they are unwell or need your support. Everyone in our team is a parent and we are all juggling work and life, we all understand.

- Make you work hours that fit in with us, you work the hours and days that you want to! There is no minimum or set work days/hours.

- Leave you without support. There is always someone in the office or on the phone to chat to and we have very regular (like weekly if you want!) supervision and monthly team meetings. We also have team days, where we plan and prepare and discuss our therapy (and eat great food and drink great coffee).

- Disrespect your hard work across the year and make you feel taken for granted. We know you are valuable and respect all you do and we show this. For example: the Christmas present this year is a whole day off paid, so that you can get ready for the holidays. We know the most key gift we can give is time, so we do this (We may have also done this at Easter!).





- Make you work in school holidays if you don't want to. The school holidays as a parent is a juggle, we know that. We are more than happy for you to take the whole time off or just some. Again, whatever works best for you!

- Make you spend all your non client time doing administration tasks. We have wonderful admin support and keep the paper based stuff to the minimum. Of course we meet our requirements but not a whole lot of "other" admin tasks that make your day so long. (look we have all been there, we know what I'm talking about!).

- Fill your day with billable hours and no time to plan and prepare. All full time staff have around 3- 4 hours per fortnight dedicated to planning and preparation for your sessions.

- Make you work your self to exhaustion as a contractor to fill billable hours and make a decent wage. We pay a salary wage so you will have a guaranteed income and our hourly rate is well above award rate.

A few more details about how we work here at YRKT:
We have a fabulous base in Wandin North but spend our time in the Yarra Valley, Maroondah and Knox areas. We can tailor a work location that works just for you!

We have a growing team of passionate, fun and energetic Occupational Therapists (currently 8).



We have a great office space in Wandin North (just 10 minutes from Lilydale or under 30 minutes from Ringwood or Wantirna) but we spend most of our time out in the community visiting homes, schools, kinders and childcares.

YRKT works with children and teenagers (0-18) in their own environments - providing support at home, kinder, childcare and schools. Our days are filled with travel all across the beautiful Yarra Valley and surrounding regions.

Our approach to therapy is fun, functional and incorporates the whole family. We work from a family focused perspective.

We are looking for paediatric Occupational Therapists with all levels of experience and background knowledge to join our fabulous team.
