Who We Are

Mobile Audio Concepts (MAC) is a premium mobile car audio installation business servicing metropolitan Melbourne . We bring high-end aftermarket audio, dash cams and integration work directly to our customers' homes and workplaces.

We're a small, close-knit crew with skilled technicians on the road, backed by our office staff who handles the admin so you can focus on the install. We've built our reputation over 5+ years and 300+ five-star reviews on quality workmanship and doing things properly — without shortcuts.

About the Role

No two days look the same. You'll be:

- Collecting stock and prepping the van for the day's jobs
- Driving to customer locations across metro Melbourne
- Installing headunits, dash cams and integration systems ( including speakers, amps and DSP)
- Demonstrating the finished product and handling payment on-site
- Representing MAC's standard of workmanship directly to the customer, unsupervised

You'll work independently on the road, fully backed by the office for scheduling, parts, and customer comms.

What We're Actually Looking For

This role needs real technical grounding — not just "good with cars." You should have:

- Hands-on experience with 12V automotive electrical systems — wiring, soldering, crimping, reading basic wiring diagrams




- Prior car audio, alarm, or auto-electrical installation experience (Trade Cert, apprenticeship, or solid demonstrable history — tell us which)
- Comfort working solo, unsupervised, at a customer's home or workplace
- Strong attention to detail — this is customer-facing precision work, not a shed hobby
- Confident, professional customer communication — you're the face of MAC on-site
- A current driver's licence (you'll be driving a company vehicle daily)
- Physical capacity for the work — kneeling, reaching into dash cavities, lifting stock

Not required but a plus: DSP tuning experience, dash cam / GPS tracking installs, off-road or commercial fit-out experience.
