Position Description – Senior Accountant

Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 exclusive of superannuation

Pinnacle Road is a progressive financial services business based in South Yarra, servicing Small to Medium Businesses. Due to growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Business Services & Compliance team division.

The Role

The Business Services & Compliance Team work closely with our clients to deliver their statutory requirements to the highest of standards. To us, this means putting the clients needs first, ensuring that lodgements are prepared accurately, ahead of time, in line with legal requirements.

Key responsibilities of this role are (but not limited to):

1. Reviewing of Financial Statements & Tax Returns prepared by accountants within the team

2. Delivering training, support and feedback to other accountants within the team

3. Reviewing and preparing Business Activity Statements & Instalment Activity Statements

4. Reviewing and analysing Year End Tax Planning Advice, and assisting Tax Manager in delivering this to clients

5. Maintaining book of clients, assisting with general accounting related queries on an Ad Hoc Basis – this involves being assigned 30 – 40 client groups, and assisting with general queries throughout the year, and ensuring that all lodgements are prepared by lodgement due dates

6. Quarterly Factory Reviews,



to review internal process and system efficiencies within the Business Services & Compliance Team and Accounting Processes

7. Preparation of Year End Engagements for Client Base – this involves reviewing clients Fixed Price Agreements, reviewing the accounting services they require and sending for client approval

What you will bring

- Strong accounting knowledge, specifically in accounting and compliance requirements for small and medium business;
- 5 years + of accounting experience, within a professional services firm;
- Relevant Bachelor qualified
- Extensive experience with Xero
- Understanding of software such as FYI Docs, Xero Workpapers, AccountKit will looked upon favourably
- Proactively manage a team and multiple jobs at anytime
- Passion to always get the best result for our clients
- Proactive and positive attitude to work
- Strong communication skills - ability to build rapport and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management in meeting internal and external deadlines;
- Ability to solve problems and add value to clients;
- A true team player, able to work well collaboratively and individually.
