About the Chance
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join Carpentaria Shire Council as Normanton Town Crew - Leading Hand on a permanent full-time basis.
This hands-on leadership role is responsible for assisting the Town Crew Foreman in coordinating and leading a small work team to deliver a wide range of maintenance, cleaning and construction activities throughout the Normanton community. The successful applicant will help maintain Council's streets, parks and gardens, public amenities, buildings, airport, waste collection services and other Council facilities, while ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills and a commitment to delivering quality services to the community.
To be successful in this position, you must have the following:
- A minimum "LR" licence;
- A Construction Industry Safety Card (White Card);
- Experience with any type of plant;
- Experience in leading a team;
- Some cleaning experience;
- An ability to undertake manual tasks for extended periods in direct sunlight.
