Kooco Espresso Robina, located inside Robina Town Centre, is a modern café known for high-quality coffee, fresh food, and a friendly, fast-paced environment. We're currently seeking a reliable and experienced cook or chef who can confidently manage all cooking and food prep duties in our kitchen.
This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who takes pride in their food, keeps their section clean and efficient, and works well in a small, close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook all menu items for breakfast and lunch
- Complete all required prep work each day to ensure smooth service
- Maintain a clean and organised workstation in line with food safety standards
- Ensure proper portion control and efficient use of ingredients
- Rotate stock and check dates to minimise waste
- Communicate with front-of-house and co-workers as needed
- Help develop and prepare daily specials or simple new items
- Contribute to a positive kitchen culture and support junior staff if applicable
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a café or commercial kitchen or currently studying cookery.
- Confident working independently and managing all cooking responsibilities
- Strong time management and prep planning skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Able to work weekday and weekend shifts (early starts required)
